Mt. Veeder Merlot

The 2019 vintage brought upon a very wet winter, frequent foggy spring mornings, and a mild summer with just a handful of brief heat spikes. Temperate fall weather allowed for extended hang time, and our last fruit came off the vines in late October. Grown in a vineyard block surrounded by dense forest, this Merlot truly reflects the terroir of Mt. Veeder. Both rich and delicate, the wine displays aromas of blackberry, rose petal and graphite. Balanced acidity gives the Merlot a nice pop, prolonging the intensely flavorful finish.
